About Appetite for Balance

Registered Dietitian in Louisville, KY

“I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve been a victim of yo-yo diets.”

Elizabeth McIntyre, RD previously pursued quick fixes and diet programs that promised improved self-worth and body image. She’s felt the lows and highs that come from these short-term, results-oriented programs.

Her experiences with these programs caused her to pursue long-term, life-changing results that diet culture can’t replicate. She creates a customized approach for each client that addresses their unique needs. Her goal is to help you improve your relationship with food and create a more positive body image for your size.

Dietetic Counseling focused on Intuitive Eating Practices

Life is short and not meant to be spent chasing after an ideal body size or specific weight. When we think about our core memories, food is often present.

I believe in providing you with the proper tools to break down thoughts and ideas causing anxiety and negativity relating to your relationship with food. You’ll relearn how to love yourself, move your body in ways that bring you joy and intuitively eat to fuel your body.

Meet Elizabeth McIntyre, RD

Elizabeth is a Registered Dietitian giving nutritional advice to people in Louisville. She has a passion for working with those that feel defeated in their search for that ideal body.

She applies scientifically-proven strategies that help clients dig into why they find self-worth in physical attributes and creates tailor-made plans that fit the individual’s needs and lifestyle.

Elizabeth believes in long-term results —short-term fads. Studies show that 95% of diet programs fail within 2–5 years of their ending. That’s why Appetite for Balance helps you learn how to be intuitive while creating sustainable lifestyle changes.

Her goal is to help you find the confidence to love and be grateful for the body and say no to fad diets. She’s excited to work with anyone willing to give intuitive eating counseling a shot.

In addition to her passion for health and nutrition, she enjoys spending time with her dog, running, being outside, and cooking delicious meals.
